Mizan J. Rahman is the founder and CEO of NESA Plan Consultants, a boutique, forward-thinking employer-sponsored retirement plan provider for small businesses and not-for-profits. After over 10 years as a senior pension consultant at a large firm, Mizan left the consulting world to start his own retirement plan administration firm specializing in plan design, IRS/DOL compliance and strategic planning. Mizan realized small businesses and not-for-profits were underserved and created NESA to relieve the complexity of managing a retirement plan, and help business owners, executives and their employees prepare for a brighter financial future.

Mizan was featured in the PLANSPONSOR Magazine as a subject matter expert. He is a graduate of the California State University, Northridge with a B.S. in Finance and holds the following professional designations: Enrollment Retirement Plan Agent (ERPA), Qualified Pension Administrator (QPA) and Tax-Exempt & Governmental Plan Consultant (TGPC).

Mizan was born in Bangladesh, grew up in Detroit, lived in San Diego before settling in Los Angeles. He’s an avid reader, basketball player, fish catcher and a husband – in reverse order of importance.
